![]() The Narrows is one of the famous trails in the National Park system. The trail begins as a footpath along the river. As the canyon walls get steeper and and closer toghether, the footpath dissappears and the river itself becomes the trail. The water is about 50 degrees (in Spring time) and about knee deep. It's suprisingly difficult to navigate with the current and the polished rocks on the river bottom. Most people use a walking stick, I ended up using my tripond. You could easily spend a couple of days hiking the Narrows. Our time was limited so we only spent an hour or so in the river.
