![]() After the cicada sheds the nymph skin, it crawls or flys to the tree tops and the males begin thier mating song. Each can produce soound at 90 decibles and a single acre of forest contains about 1.5 million cicadas. If you find your self under a canopy of cicadas, the sound is astonishing.
